Reporting from Florham Park, NJ — Aaron Glenn has made immediate changes to the New York Jets organization.

Throughout the early stages of his tenure with the team, the word “culture” has been used time and time again. Glenn and the Jets are going through something of a culture shock in every aspect of the organization in Florham Park.

And that even extends to the team’s preparation for the 2025 draft.

Glenn’s Passion Remaining True

Speaking to reporters in the week leading up to the draft, general manager Darren Mougey made it clear how important Glenn has been through the pre-draft process.

From coaching meetings for top 30 visits, to just healthy debates about the direction both men want to take the team, Mougey has been impressed with one main thing from Glenn.

And it’s the one thing that has been his calling card for decades.

“I don’t know if it’s anything that I didn’t know, but it just kind of reinforces his passion,” Mougey said. “We sit in these meetings and we’ll start watching a player, and you can kind of feel AG start to, you know he likes this play, or he hears the reads in the background and he’s passionate about guys, you know it, and you feel it, and that’s one of the best qualities, and he’s consistent every day, so it’s been awesome.

“The whole process, through free agency, the draft, AG, really the coaching staff, all of it’s been great.”

Mougey made it clear that the two men were rarely disagreeing when it came to how they want to build their football team as well as their diagnosis on certainly players from the incoming draft class.

Whoever the Jets end up picking will have some key attributes that both Mougey and Glenn are pushing for.

“I think there’s a type of brand,” Mougey stated. “I believe there is a type of brand that we want our players to play with and it’s a physicality, it’s a toughness, you’re going to feel it, but it’s smart, tough, aggressive, resilient players.”

Building the Jets roster may be a collaborative approach, but it appears Glenn’s passion is continuously a driving force for the team moving forward. If that passion can turn into wins, the fanbase will be very happy soon.
