Is Breece Hall entering his final days as a member of the New York Jets?

If his Instagram post is any indication, the running back may be starting to consider the possibility.

Just a week after publicly committing to the team for the season, the former Iowa State star posted a photo on Instagram with the caption โ€œ#Free20.โ€

While that doesnโ€™t necessarily mean the four-year veteran is pushing to leave New York, it adds intrigue to the final stretch before the NFL trade deadline.

Could the Jets trade Hall?

Hall is in the final year of his rookie contract, making him a logical trade candidate ahead of the deadline in early November.

In 2025, he has rushed for 410 yards on 4.7 yards per carry, along with more than 100 receiving yards. His dual-threat ability has led some to believe he could be a valuable asset for a contending team โ€” and a player the Jets might consider moving.

Connor Hughes of SNY reported Monday afternoon that, following Hallโ€™s Instagram post, the expected return in a trade would be a fifth-round pick, with the potential to rise to a fourth rounder if a bidding war develops.

If the Jets were to move Hall, it would mark a clear shift from their previous stance. Trade rumors around the 24-year-old date back to the draft, but head coach Aaron Glenn consistently shot them down.

โ€œWe have like three good running backs, and I keep saying that,โ€ Glenn said in August. โ€œListen, they all have different skill sets that we’re going to utilize.

“And that does not mean that I’m trading Breece. OK? Does not! So, I’m going to say that right now. I just like having three good guys. Hell, I wish I had more, but we don’t.”

At 0-6, however, the Jets may soon be forced to make difficult decisions. Hall is on an expiring deal and could bring back valuable draft capital for a franchise clearly in rebuilding mode.

And if Hallโ€™s social media is to be believed, he might be just fine with that.
