The New York Jets got a reality check on Sunday.

After a promising five-game stretch, featuring three wins and a couple of decently competitive losses, the Jets crashed back down to Earth with perhaps their worst performance of the 2025 season.

The Dolphins jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back in an uncompetitive 34-10 blowout victory over the Jets, who were outscored by 31 if you exclude their historically great special teams unit.

Both the offense and the defense looked abysmal in the defeat, but the most pressing concern from this game is the defense. After 13 games of repeated mistakes, coordinator Steve Wilks is running out of excuses.

From predictable play calls, to busted coverages, to multiple players regressing under his watch, Wilks has not appeared to bring much value to New York. With only four games left in the season, he’s almost out of time to build a reasonable case as to why the Jets should bring him back.

At least… those are some of the narratives among Jets fans. Does the film corroborate those concerns?

Indeed, it does. In fact, Wilks’ defensive scheme only comes out looking worse when you analyze the details on tape.

We’ll highlight why the Jets’ defense is so porous on the latest Blewett’s Blitz film review. In addition, we’ll break down what went wrong for the Jets’ offense, including the highs and lows of rookie quarterback Brady Cook in his NFL debut.

We’re here to reveal all of the critical takeaways from the Jets-Dolphins All-22 film. The silver linings, the major duds, and everything in betweenโ€”it’s all there on tape.
