The debate surrounding the New York Jets’ second overall pick features three incredibly talented edge rushers.
Whether it’s Ohio State’s Arvell Reese, Miami’s Rueben Bain Jr., or Texas Tech’s David Bailey, the Jets have their pick of the litter when it comes to the 2026 draft class’s premier pass rushers.
What if the Jets don’t take an edge rusher with that pick, though?
There are other ways New York could go at No. 2. They could reshape their offense by selecting gifted Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate, or they could take the man who many believe is the best player in the draft, Ohio State safety Caleb Downs.
If the Jets do not take an edge rusher with the second overall pick, they will surely be prioritizing the position when they come on the clock at No. 16 overall.
That leaves them with plenty of fascinating mid-first-round options, including Auburn’s Keldric Faulk.
The Alabama native broke out in 2024 as a 19-year-old true sophomore for the Tigers, racking up seven sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and 45 total tackles (12 games). However, Faulk’s production declined in 2025, as he posted just two sacks, five tackles for loss, and 29 total tackles (12 games).
NFL teams must weigh Faulk’s ceiling against the underwhelming production he displayed in 2025. Is that ceiling worth the risk for the Jets at pick No. 16?
The film can give us that answer.
On the latest episode of Blewett’s Blitz, we break down the All-22 film of Faulk’s 2025 performances against Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia, Missouri, and Alabama. We’ll analyze his strengths and weaknesses to pinpoint precisely where he should be drafted in 2026, and whether he fits with the Jets.
Below is the full Keldric Faulk scouting report (strengths and weaknesses) and film review.
