Penalties have continued to plague the New York Jets, contributing to their embarrassing 0-4 start to the 2025 season.

Speaking to reporters following the team’s lackluster 27-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins, star receiver Garrett Wilson addressed the team’s penalty woes.

“It’s disappointing. It’s stuff we preach all throughout the week, AG preaches it,” said Wilson. “As players, we’ve got to be better at going out and executing. That’s ridiculous.”

The pass-catcher committed a very mild offensive pass interference call that negated what would have been a touchdown in the third quarter of Monday night’s game.

“I watch football, and they don’t call that, but I’ll make sure I don’t do it again and leave no doubt,” Wilson recalled.

Wilson ultimately finished his night with six receptions for 84 yards and a highly impressive 23-yard touchdown grab at the end of the fourth quarter.

As the Jets begin to prepare for their Week 5 home matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, still searching for their first win of the year, Wilson has a strong message to his teammates.

“At the end of the day, what do you want your legacy to be in this league? I look back on my time, and we’ve got to go now. We’ve got to have it this week,” said the star wideout.

Jets fans are demanding results, not excuses, rightfully so. If the Jets don’t deliver a Week 5 win at home against Dallas, the frustration already boiling over within the fanbase will only intensify as the search for a win drags on.
