EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Different quarterback, same result for the New York Jets. Joe Flacco’s relief effort of Sam Darnold didn’t help Adam Gase in the least on Sunday as the Arizona Cardinals walked into MetLife Stadium and took a 30-10 game on the road.

Kyler Murray finished with 380 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 27 of 37 passing. He also added a rushing touchdown in the second quarter that put his team up 14-3.

Jordan Jenkins—the edge on that play-side—can be spotted in an upset mood after Murray crossed the goal line. It looked like he assumed a linebacker would scrape to his side.

The Cards’ first touchdown of the game came on the team’s second possession. Murray led an 8-play, 89-yard drive that resulted in a Chase Edmonds 29-yard touchdown run.

Edmonds continues to enjoy life in New Jersey. A year ago, he tallied three touchdowns at MetLife against the Giants.

A key sequence happened midway through the second quarter. Facing a third-and-1 at the Arizona 13-yard line, Gase opted for a Trevon Wesco between-the-tackles run. With Arizona thinking run, it was stuffed.

On fourth-and-1, Le’Veon Bell was also predictably stuffed. Only down 7-3 at that point, the Jets were blessed with a golden opportunity to take the lead after a fortunate Avery Williamson interception of Murray.

From there, the Cards coasted while up multiple possessions the rest of the way.

The lone glimmer of hope in the second half came courtesy of a Flacco to Jamison Crowder touchdown in the third quarter.

But after that score, Arizona marched right down the field to make it a 24-10 game. Kliff Kingsbury took the life out of Gregg Williams’s defense on a fourth-and-1 that allowed his quarterback to find Darrell Daniels for 31 yards.

It ultimately led to a Kenyan Drake 1-yard score.

After a terrible offensive possession for the Jets, Arizona came right back to place the cherry on top. Murray found DeAndre Hopkins for a 37-yard score in one-on-one coverage.

Flacco ended the day going for 195 yards and a score on 18 of 33 passing. Le’Veon Bell paced the Jets on the ground with 60 yards on 13 carries, while Crowder led the way through the air (116 yards, one touchdown, eight receptions).

For Arizona, Drake carried the ball 18 times for 60 yards, while Hopkins went for 131 and a touchdown on six grabs.

The 0-5 New York Jets will next turn their attention to Miami Dolphins, who have been bumped up from Week 10 to Week 6.
