New York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco finds Breshad Perriman for a 50-yard touchdown, while Mekhi Becton exits with a chest injury.
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ—Suddenly, Trevor Lawrence doesn’t feel like the foregone conclusion he once had.
Joe Flacco found a streaking Breshad Perriman for a 50-yard touchdown in the second quarter on Monday Night Football.
There's definitely speed at the wide receiver position when healthy. Joe Flacco hits Breshad Perriman for a big one. #TakeFlight pic.twitter.com/1AzxIAd3Yj

The New York Jets backup quarterback is playing in place of injured Sam Darnold, who is currently missing his third game of the season with a bum shoulder. This is Perriman’s first game action since taking a vicious Micah Hyde hit in the team’s 18-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills a couple of weeks ago.
Perriman’s return coincides with Jamison Crowder‘s, which means the Jets offense has its top three receivers on the field for the first time all season (Denzel Mims).
The bad news column is highlighted by a big absence. Rookie left tackle Mekhi Becton exited the game in the first quarter with what the team is calling a chest injury. His return to the contest is questionable. Chuma Edoga is manning down the left tackle spot in his absence.
The New York Jets currently lead the New England Patriots by a score of 13-7 on the strength of two Sergio Castillo field goals. The Pats take over at their own 19-yard line with 4:28 to go in the second quarter.
