Aaron Rodgers is fitting into the New York scene, singing the Rangers’ goal song at Madison Square Garden

There’s nothing like playoff hockey to get the New York Jets in on the metropolitan intersport scene.

Fresh off his arrival from Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers joined in on the action.

First, the video board at Madison Square Garden showed Rodgers’ opening press conference, followed by a shot of him seated next to teammates Breece Hall and Allen Lazard, both clad in Rangers jerseys. The crowd gave Rodgers a huge hand.

A little later, when the Rangers scored, Rodgers and Lazard had fun singing the team’s goal song along with the raucous MSG crowd.

Following the game, Rodgers responded to the Jets’ Twitter photo of the outing with “Jets forever” emojis and a heart. Rodgers can be seen at the game alongside teammates Lazard, Connor McGovern, Breece Hall, and Tim Boyle.

This is the kind of reception Rodgers has to look forward to. If he can bring the Jets to the promised land, he will forever be a hero of monumental proportions in New York.

For now, he’s already getting Jets fans fired up wherever he goes.

Rodgers’ presence is already having an impact. With Rodgers in attendance, the Rangers looked rejuvenated, picking up a 5-2 victory after three consecutive losses to force a Game 7 in Newark on Monday night (8 p.m. ET).

Unfortunately for Devils-Jets fans, it appears Rodgers has declared his tri-state hockey alliance. But if Rodgers comes through for them on the football field, it’s unlikely they will care all too much.
