Dalvin Cook is watching New York Jets practice ahead of a possible signing
Elvis—er, Dalvin Cook—is in the New York Jets‘ building.
The free agent running back is in Florham Park for his scheduled visit with the team. As Cook said previously, the chances of him signing with the Jets are pretty high.
According to reports, Cook will take a physical with the team. He is also watching the Jets practice.

Cook stated that Aaron Rodgers texted to recruit him following his own large pay cut. It appears that the Jets are ready to grant that wish.
Ever since Cook was released by the Minnesota Vikings, the Jets have seemingly been in on him. Robert Saleh commented almost immediately that the team would leave no stone unturned in seeking talent, and he added recently that money would be the main obstacle.
The Jets’ running back room is also a situation to monitor. Jet X’s Robby Sabo has speculated that Breece Hall could begin the season on the PUP list, which would keep him out for the first four games and possibly ensure that all the running backs remain on the roster until then. However, if Hall will be ready to go, signing Cook would possibly signal a cut or trade of one of the other backs.
Hall may have recently indicated his displeasure with the Cook move, posting “Lol” on Twitter before deleting it. However, if Cook does sign, it’s as insurance in case Hall isn’t a full go. Once the Jets’ star running back is healthy, Cook will not be eating into any of his carries; there remains a vast disparity between their talent in favor of Hall.
The Cook signing appears to be happening sooner rather than later.
