Denver Broncos @ Detroit Lions
The Denver Broncos enter Week 15 winning six of their last seven games, putting them in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt. The opposite can be said for the Detroit Lions. After starting the season on fire, the Lions have quickly dropped two of their last three and suddenly do not look like the true contenders people thought they were earlier.
I think this is the week the Lions get back on track. More specifically, the Lions offense should move the ball with ease in this game. Through 14 weeks, the Lions rank seventh in passing yards, fifth in rushing yards, and fourth in yards per play. On the contrary, the Broncos defense ranks 24th in passing yards, 32nd in rushing yards, and 30th in yards per play. The Lions offense should be able to have their way in this one.
This is a positive spot to bet the Lions on Saturday night, especially after their bad showing on offense against Chicago last week. Jared Goff is 8-2 against the spread after scoring 14 points or less in the week before. Also, Goff is going back to Detroit and playing in a dome where he consistently covers. In the previous three seasons, Goff is 21-8 ATS playing indoors.
This is a great matchup for the Lions as they should take care of business at home on Saturday night.
The play: Detroit Lions -5
Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills
The Dallas Cowboys are sitting at 10-3 and have won their last five games. They are one of the hottest teams in the league right now and are looking to keep pace with the 49ers and Eagles as the top dogs in the NFC. Meanwhile, the Bills are 7-6 and are trying to keep up in the thick AFC wild-card race.
We have been riding the Bills the last few weeks and have done pretty well on them all season. The Bills are a really good football team but just continue to find ways to lose. Their record should be much better than 7-6.
Josh Allen has been very profitable as a home favorite. At Highmark Stadium, Allen is 32–8 straight up as a favorite. The Bills are also 16-3 straight up at home in their last 19 home games.
The weather in Buffalo does not look good on Sunday. Weather stations are calling for temperatures in the mid-40s and steady rain. This should favor the Bills as the Cowboys are used to playing in the comfort of their dome in Dallas.
I love backing quality teams fighting for their playoff lives and that is exactly what we have with Buffalo this week.
With a win last week over the Kansas City Chiefs, I like the Bills to continue their momentum this week and get a huge win over the Dallas Cowboys.
