New York Jets fan begs Aaron Rodgers for a Super Bowl

While playing at the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe, Aaron Rodgers was seen hugging a crying New York Jets fan wearing the quarterback’s jersey.

The teary-eyed fan said, “I just want a Super Bowl, Aaron. Please!” The 40-year-old signal-caller embraced the fan and walked away smiling.

Rodgers was among many celebrities at the American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf event held at Edgewood Tahoe Resort at Lake Tahoe.

Other NFL participants include Josh Allen, Travis Kelce, and Rodgers’ former teammate Davante Adams, who recently said the quarterback has been “in his ear.”

Rodgers has been trending recently for an unexcused absence from mandatory minicamp, of which the quarterback alerted the team ahead of time. It has since been confirmed by SNY that Rodgers missed minicamp due to a pre-planned trip to Egypt.

When the Jets acquired Rodgers in 2022, fans expected the Jets’ playoff drought to end. That was not the case, as just four plays into the Jets’ 2023 season, Rodgers tore his Achilles and was ruled out for the entirety of the 2023 season. At that moment, most fans probably felt just like the one in Lake Tahoe.

The Jets went 7-10 for the second season in a row. Going into 2024, Jets fans are eager to see their franchise signal-caller back on the field.

New York has done everything it can to ensure Rodgers stays healthy this time around. Since Rodgers’ Achilles tear, general manager Joe Douglas has revamped the Jets’ offensive line. This offseason, the Jets signed John Simpson and Tyron Smith, traded for Morgan Moses, and drafted Olu Fashanu.

Additionally, the Jets signed wide receiver Mike Williams to pair with star receiver Garrett Wilson.

With one of the league’s most talented rosters behind him, Rodgers has a chance to grant the Lake Tahoe fan’s wish.
