Are Darren Mougey and the New York Jets focused on selecting Missouri right tackle Armand Membou in the 2025 NFL draft?
According to Sportskeeda NFL insider Tony Pauline, the answer is yes.
In his latest two-round mock draft, Pauline reported the Jets are dead set on taking Membou, and if he is not available at No. 7 overall, the team will explore a trade down.
“The latest rumors in league circles say the Jets will work the phones attempting to move down if Membou is not available,” wrote Pauline.
After a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou is rapidly climbing draft boards. The 331-pound prospect turned heads with a 4.91-second 40-yard dash and an elite 9.89 Relative Athletic Score. He also flashed his explosiveness with a 34-inch vertical and a 115-inch broad jump.
Since January 28, when he was ranked No. 32 on the NFL Mock Draft Database’s consensus big board, Membou has made a significant leap. He’s now ranked No. 10 overall and has become a popular projection to the Jets at No. 7.
Just 21 years old, Membou impressed as Missouri’s starting right tackle in 2024. He logged 411 pass-blocking snaps without allowing a sack or quarterback hit, surrendering only eight total pressures. His run blocking was equally dominant, earning an 87.6 grade from Pro Football Focus.
By drafting Membou, the Jets would have a chance to solidify all five starting spots along the offensive line. Establishing stability up front is critical, not just for the team’s overall success but especially for newly signed quarterback Justin Fields, who will need consistent protection to thrive.
