Biggest Questions

Which starters will play?

After starters kicked off the Jets’ first two preseason games, head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters during the week that certain but not all starters will take the field against Philadelphia.

โ€œSome starters wonโ€™t play in this game. I wonโ€™t get into the whoโ€™s or whatnot, but a good number of starters wonโ€™t play. It gives us a chance for us to look at some of the other young guys and give them plenty of playing time so we can evaluate them,โ€ said Glenn.

It remains unclear which starters will play, and the Jets are not expected to reveal those decisions until kickoff.

How will the defense play?

After surrendering 31 points to the Giants last week, the Jetsโ€™ defense will look to rebound Friday against an Eagles team expected to rest quarterback Jalen Hurts and backup Tanner McKee.

The matchup offers New York’s defense a prime opprtunity to build momentum before the regular season.
