Mike White left the game injured after throwing a beautiful touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore.

Even touchdowns and literally Hall-of-Fame-worthy performances end in potential heartbreak for the New York Jets.

Mike White helped the team overcome an early deficit in its Thursday’s visit to Indianapolis, as his legend continued with an eight-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Elijah Moore‘s first NFL touchdown.

That lucrative final play was a 19-yard scoring strike to the open rookie, one that tied the game after Nyheim Hines’ 34-yard, six-point run gave the host Colts an early lead.

Alas for the Jets, tension lingered after White’s score. The quarterback was in visible pain on the New York sideline, as he was analyzed for a wrist injury after the throw.

He later visited the medical tent for further analysis after banking his right forearm on a Colts defender during the follow-through on the touchdown.

He is officially listed as questionable to return. Josh Johnson came in to start the Jets’ next drive.

Indianapolis leads the Jets 21-7 in the second quarter.
