Garrett Wilson’s New York Jets teammates got a kick out of his ad appearance

The vibes around the New York Jets are tremendously positive right now. New York is riding high with a surprising 3-2 record, which includes a 2-0 mark since the return of franchise quarterback Zach Wilson.

You can feel the team’s excited energy through the players’ activity on social media. On Wednesday, many Jets players had some fun on Instagram as they jokingly ribbed rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

Wilson shared an ad for Gillette on Instagram that featured a picture of him shaving with a Gillette razor. His teammates found it hilarious.

Michael Carter says Wilson is “just shaving dead skin off”.

Mekhi Becton agreed with Carter, as he is also wondering what exactly Wilson was shaving off. “What you shave gang?”, Becton replied.

Lawrence Cager is yet another offensive teammate who found the ad ironic. “You ain’t even got a beard tho bro”, Cager replied.

Kwon Alexander, D.J. Reed, and Breece Hall also replied with laughing emojis.

He may not need to do much shaving off the field, but on the field, Wilson has routinely been shaving defenses. The rookie has caught 23 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns over his first five NFL games. Wilson is showing a knack for making big plays in the clutch, as he is tied for fourth among wide receivers with 10 receptions in the fourth quarter.

Clearly, this young and hungry New York Jets team is having a lot of fun right now – on and off the field.
