The Pro Bowl Games were a place for players to show off

New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley is no stranger to oohs and aahs. He’s had a decorated career, including five second-team All-Pro selections.

So when he got some more exclamations during the golf tournament portion of the Pro Bowl Games, he took it in stride.

Mosley hammered a long drive 306 yards to help the AFC retake the lead in this particular contest, much to the delight of his teammates.

Now, the drive was assessed for distance rather than accuracy. That’s something Zach Wilson is seemingly very familiar with.

Eli Manning’s NFC squad ended up taking the competition, defeating brother Peyton’s AFC crew to win the first-ever Pro Bowl games.

The Jets had ample representation at the games. In addition to Mosley, Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, and Justin Hardee were named to the AFC squad. D.J. Reed, meanwhile, was perhaps the NFL’s biggest snub from the roster for the second consecutive season.

Sauce had his own adventure at the games, getting pranked with the classic empty water bottle shenanigan. Quinnen, meanwhile, announced that he has a bigger and better accolade coming up soon: that of a soon-to-be dad.

Hardee has dedicated this season to his late mom on numerous occasions. At times this year, he seemed to be the Jets’ only competent special teamer, and he finally received recognition for it.

The Jets hope that their players’ individual awards and achievements will translate into more team success in 2023. For now, though, those players can savor the rewards of a job well done.
