New York Jets fans, this is why Aaron Rodgers thinks you should believe in Nathaniel Hackett
In an interview with Adam Schein of Mad Dog Sports Radio, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers spoke about offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and why fans should have confidence in his ability to run the offense.
Schein posed the question, “If I’m a Jets fan listening, why should I trust Nathaniel Hackett as the offensive coordinator?” To that, Rodgers answered, “Well, you should trust me, and I trust Nathaniel. So, to me, that’s end of story. There’s been a lot of BS that’s been said out there. There are a lot of things that have gone on in the last couple of years that he’s dealt with that I think he’s handled very professionally. And at the end of the day, I think you gotta trust his and my working relationship and the conversations that we have.”
The quarterback added that his partnership with Hackett has been “fruitful in the past” and assured that “it’s gonna be fruitful again.”

Rodgers was also asked about the Jets receiving a league-high six prime-time games. The four-time MVP seems to be embracing the spotlight.
“We are must-watch TV, and that’s pretty obvious. Everybody knows that. Whether you love me or hate me, people want to see me play. They enjoy watching me play. We are a team to watch this year.”
The quarterback also discussed the idea of the Jets “owing” the league after falling short of expectations in 2023.
“That’s fine. I don’t care what anybody has to say about that. It was sh—y for me, it was rough for the league. I get it. I only played a few plays last year; that’s going to be different this year. What happens when we pay them back this year with six great primetime games? What are they going to say next year?

Rodgers seems motivated and confident about the Jets’ outlook in 2024, if nothing else. He looks ready to disprove those who do not believe the team or himself can produce a successful season.
The Jets still have to execute during the games and win more than just the headlines. But with the mindset that Rodgers and the rest of the team have already shown, New York is in a very good position to do just that.
