Sauce Gardner, the New York Jets’ All-Pro cornerback, took to X to discuss his newest hobby

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner never fails to stay in the spotlight. This time, it’s on the golf course.

The standout corner posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) in a red golf shirt, standing beside what appeared to be the back of a golf cart. He wrote, “Somebody just seen me on the course at this golf tournament while riding their bike and said, ‘Look, there goes Tiger Woods.’ I’ve officially arrived in the golf space.”

This is not the first time we’ve seen the 23-year-old defensive back express his thoughts on social media. Sauce is known for connecting with the Jets fanbase and sharing his honest opinions about the league decisions and Jets organizational matters, often in a humorous way.

For example, before free agency opened and with uncertainty surrounding the Jets’ plans, Jets content creator Richie of Jets Media posed a question to fans: “Name a free agent no one is talking about that the Jets should sign.” Sauce replied to the tweet, suggesting, “Calvin Ridley & Tee.”

Gardner continued to share his opinions throughout free agency and later gave himself the nickname “GM LeSauce”  — the “Le” inspired by Lakers forward LeBron James, who is known for recruiting players and leading championship runs.

While social media banter is entertaining, what truly matters is performance on the field. In just two years in the league, Sauce has proven himself as one of the top cornerbacks in the game with accolades such as the 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year, two Pro Bowl appearances, and two first-team All-Pro nods.

It may be too soon to compare Sauce to Darrelle Revis. Still, what’s certain is that Jets fans can expect high-quality cornerback play for years to come — and plenty of social media interaction along with it.
