“I have a lot of pride in my performance,” Rodgers said. “When I take the field, I expect greatness because I’ve done it before, and that’s a standard to which I hold myself.”

Rodgers missed the entire 2023 season due to an Achilles tear just four plays into the Jets’ season. When asked about the injury, the four-time NFL MVP said jokingly, “I mean, there might be a little smirk after the fourth [snap]. We’ll see.”

There are high hopes that Rodgers will help lead this team to victory. Jets fans are excited to see what Rodgers can accomplish with a very talented supporting cast and an elite defense.

When asked if the Super Bowl is the goal this season, Rodgers responded, “Of course.”

Additionally, Rodgers sent a message to his teammates about staying consistent, saying, “We can’t ride these waves of emotion or frustration or outside narratives or any of these things,” he said, “We got to keep this thing very tight. You know, we can’t have any leaks or people jumping ship. We’ve got to realize it’s going to be a long season.”

Rodgers has a history of silencing critics and now has a prime opportunity to do so once more as he returns from a severe injury. “I’ve always kind of played with something on my shoulder.” Rodgers said. “You got to, you know, manufacture things from time to time. But yeah, I mean, it’s kind of goes back to the prove it. Who would I need to prove it to? Just myself at this point.”

As Rodgers enters his 20th season in the league, he aims to silence critics and lead the Jets to their first division title since 2002.
