Armand Membou is taking all of the shine as a potential New York Jets draft pick.
But what about Will Campbell?
The LSU tackle is generally expected to be off the board before New York comes on the clock at No. 7. But things have grown more uncertain since the combine.
Campbell performed well in Indianapolis, but he measured with very short arms (32⅝ inches). Previously considered a near-lock to be selected in the top five, Campbell’s stock has fluctuated since his arm measurement.
Meanwhile, Membou put on a showcase that has him skyrocketing up draft boards. He is now considered a plausible candidate to be selected fourth overall by the New England Patriots, which could cause Campbell to fall to the tackle-needy Jets at No. 7.
If that is the case, should the Jets hesitate for a second to take the decorated and productive lineman?
Campbell is a former five-star recruit who established himself as a starting left tackle in his true freshman season. He allowed just four sacks across three years as a blindside protector in the SEC.
It sounds like a great resume, but the most important resume of all is your tape. Does it say Campbell is a worthy option for the Jets’ seventh overall pick? Is his arm length a legitimate concern?
